The #FindYourGame project was designed to encourage physical activity in girls aged 13-16 in Lambeth and Southwark, breaking down the perception of what sporty means and inspiring girls to be more confident in their future aspirations.

The project was pitched as part of the King’s Civic Challenge in 2020 and won funding from Mayor of London to be put into action in South London.

During the Easter half-term in 2021, #FindYourGame workshops took place in Dulwich with 102 attendances from girls in the local area.

“I think it (Find Your Game) boosts your confidence because when we have our breaks we do circle time. We talk about things that we love and we get to know each other, and she helps us focus on ourselves. She helps us understand what we want to do in life. I know that I want to do something that I love, and do it for myself and not others. I think it will be beneficial because the coaches help us with our career, our future, they help us learn about different subjects not just football so we are also focusing on ourselves. And to improve my football skills, I feel really good about myself.”
