Join Us on the Pitch!
Our July beginner's session is running alongside our PLG Peckham Rye takeover, so if your child or young person is joining that session, you can get involved too. Spend 45 minutes on the pitch, then watch and cheer them on for the final 30 minutes.
Not bringing a young player? You're still very welcome to come along.
What to expect
A relaxed, friendly session led by our coaches, open to women and non-binary individuals. Whether you've never kicked a ball or just haven't played in a while, this is a nice, low pressure way to get on the pitch. There'll be some light drills, a small-sided game and good company.

Why is the beginners session restricted to women and non-binary people?
At Girls United, we believe in equal opportunities for everyone to enjoy football. While we've made strides in providing opportunities for girls, we recognize that there are generations of women and non-binary people who may have missed out. That's why we're introducing this inclusive Beginners Session - to empower all parents, carers, school staff & teachers to feel comfortable and supported as they engage with their girls' football journey. It's about bridging the gender gap in sports and creating a welcoming space for everyone to try something new.
